FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Need a Skip Bin? Call Skips on the Go.
From 2m³ (no door) to 35m³ Hook Bins, we have much variety of skips in stock. For both the spring cleaning project and the removal of rubbish at larger places, we can use the best size of the skip bin. As a general guide, the most popular choices for those undertaking a toilet renovation are our 2 – 4 cubic metre bins. Those are needing something for general resident cleanups opt for 4 and 6 cubic metre bins. In contrast, our larger hook bins are perfect for super scale constructions and revelations.
The depth x width x length measures a cubic metre for the unfamiliar. You could make an estimated calculation by visualising your pile of waste and take three measurements, length multiplied by the width and then multiplied with depth, to tell you an approximate size. However, if you still need more information, please reach out to a friendly member of our team for a free quote.
Yes, all of our skips come, according to weight restrictions. However, please refer to our skip bin sizes page for specific weight restrictions for each bin for safety reasons. Important Point To Consider: Our skip bins can’t be filled over the rim as it’s a road protection issue. Our driver will refuse to get your skip bin until the overloaded garbage is removed and your products are kept below the bin's rim. If you have underestimated your waste and need another skip bin, please give us a call, and our team will do their best to offer you a solution.
Well, almost! Except for asbestos (special asbestos bins are present);
Fibro cement and fibreglass roof sheeting; fibro (compressed or not); food and liquids (including item’s packaging); chemicals (any kind); gas bottles; fire extinguishers; oil heaters and old insulation, almost anything goes.
Some categories of waste (e.g. tyres and mattresses) may incur an extra charge, so let’s talk with one of our team members to learn more.
You certainly can! Except for the unaccepted products listed above, both can go into the same skip.
This service can be provided with an extra fee. (Minimum hours may be worked). Please communicate with our team if you require support at booking time.
All our skips can be placed for a maximum of 14 days. However, with 24 hours' notice before pick up day, we are also glad to grant an extension of up to 3 days at no extra charge.
Otherwise, you can pay $50 each week, and pick-up is later. If an appointment date is not confined in advance, arranging a pick up can take three days. It may also be possible to gather bins. Please communicate with a member of our group to learn how.
We suggest your driveway, but your skip can stay anywhere as long as our truck can access it. (And don’t stress, they won’t harm your lush lawn in the way process). However, should you require the bin to keep on council property (e.g. the footpath), we can also support you in obtaining a council permit. Just communicate with our team.
To be honest, you don’t need to give us too many guidelines. We offer same-day delivery at no extra fee. However, as this service is subject to availability, our team recommends booking 1-2 days in advance to ensure a skip bin on your preferred day. Please remember that while we offer the options of either morning or afternoon delivery, we cannot ensure a preferred time. However, we provide half an hour to an hour’s notice of our arrival time on the day of delivery.
Our most popular way of booking and payment is online. Alternatively, our staff can also allow you to pay over the app. We also accept cash on delivery.
You are! Our exclusive recycling centre uses machines that turn over more than 80% of waste into recyclable items!
When a skip bin is delivered, it commonly doesn’t. However, there is always a risk if a skip bin is delivered and placed on a grassed area. If your grassed area is soft or saturated with moisture, there is a possibility that our delivery trucks will leave an impression when keeping the skip bin on grassed lands; this will mark your places. We highly recommend that you provide three lengths of timber no less than 2 metres in length to be kept under the skip bin if your drive path is painted, stamped or tiled. This will not leave impressions on the driveway and any other hard places where our drivers cannot be held responsible for any surface destruction. Cobra Waste Solutions accepts no risk whatsoever for any damage that occurred to the ground, surface, road, path or passage of the Site Address or the location designated near or in proximity to the Site Address for the distribution and settlement of the Skip Bin. The Client should ensure the conditions, including access heights, are the best for the Skip Bin placement and shipment.
